OUR HISTORY

A long history that is altogether italian.

A long history that is altogether Italian, that’s how we like to define our story, which began back in 1952 in Turin thanks to Renzo d’Arcano, Frau’s founder.

In 1966, we moved to the Veneto region, the place where our shoes are still made to this day.

The two factories in the province of Verona are still the beating heart of Frau, the place where everything is thought up, created and crafted.

Thanks to our expertise, which we have honed after more than 70 years of being in business, we are able to be innovative, while looking toward the future, and be modern and open to trends, yet remain true to our roots.

Every day we strive to provide the best product, a better service to meet the needs of everyone who decides to trust us by purchasing our products.

OUR VALUES

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND TECHNOLOGY

Every single pair of shoes is made thanks to a wealth of craftsmanship and professionalism that represents the true value of FRAU, as it takes over 40 people to produce a single pair of shoes.

Innovation also plays an important role, while robotic lines and Industry 4.0 are the foundations of our present and future manufacturing.

SUSTAINABILITY

Respect for the highest production standards, production which has been taking place in the province of Verona since 1966, a short supply chain, with Italian detailing and raw materials, allow us to have a reduced environmental impact.

What’s more, we are constantly researching new technologies and materials to create products that are ever more sustainable.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND RESPECT

Tradition, creativity, an ability to innovate together with attention to detail and respect for people and the land are the principles that guide us every day when making comfortable footwear that offers outstanding value for money, with a special focus on style.

FEMALE EMPOWERMENT

Today our leadership team is female and almost 70% of the people working at FRAU are women.

Out of these, more than 30% have decided to take advantage of a part-time contract that allows them to have a better work-life balance, without having to give up their professional goals.
